At LQS Consulting, we are dedicated to assisting businesses in bringing new products and services to market, and managing their projects effectively. Our goal is to streamline your workflow and enhance productivity across your organization. We believe that efficient product and project management are keys to your success.
A seasoned Product Manager with over 20 years experience, Larry Schindel has brought numerous new products to market, continued the development of new features, and managed the end to end product lifecycle. This work involves requirements gathering, market and customer research, roadmap planning, technology strategy, developing product specifications, functional requirements, performance requirements, UI/UX, and standards compliance.
At Telos Alliance, he brought the following products to market:
and was also involved in defining other products including the Telos Infinity IP Intercom platform
At Dolby Laboratories, Larry managed a line of OEM modules which 3rd party professional broadcast equipment manufacturers integrated into their products to quickly and easily bring Dolby technologies to the market.
Working with customers and performing market research to define the product roadmap and requirements is one thing. Managing the process of bringing the product to market - product development, internal, external, and customer testing/certification, technology licensing, and the actual product release/launch - is another. This involves working across all aspects of an organization including Engineering, QA/QC Testing, Legal, Finance, Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing, and Management.
We are experienced in navigating these often tricky waters; balancing time, cost, tradeoffs, and process improvements to bring a product, technology, or service to market in a timely and efficient manner.
Larry Schindel has brought hardware and software products to market in several companies, and has worked in both larger public company environments as well as smaller manufacturing companies where sometimes processes were either inefficient or even missing. He has both established new processes and has improved existing processes, making product development and bringing a new product to market more efficient.
Let us help make your operations run more efficiently.
We have lived on both sides of technology licensing; both as the technology licensor, and as the licensee. We understand technology licensing, agreements, establishing end product requirements, along with test development and certification testing to ensure brand protection, and can offer strategy, guidance, and development of SDKs and validation test suites.
Product Specifications, Owner's Manuals, Quick Start Guides, Product Brochures, Spec Sheets, Product Training Presentations, Use Case Stories, and other "MarCom" / Technical Marketing collateral are all thing we are experienced in creating. One of our key strengths is to explain complex technical information in an easy to understand manner, so that everyone can understand it regardless of their level of technical savviness and across different cultures, regions, and languages.
We have a deep understanding of broadcast/media technology and decades of hands-on experience working with every aspect of audio, including stereo, 5.1 and Immersive Audio / Dolby Atmos.
Applications Engineering, Pre-Sales engineering, Field Applications Engineering, System Commissioning and Troubleshooting, and Training are all areas of our expertise. This includes on-site support, training, and troubleshooting for key customers, even at large, high-profile, international broadcast events.

The LA-5300 provides automatic loudness control, upmixing, downmixing, optional watermark technologies, and the ability to encode Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby Digital Plus with Atmos, and the latest emission format from Dolby Laboratories, Dolby AC-4. Dolby AC-4 supports stereo, 5.1, and Dolby Atmos configurations. It also supports Object-Based Audio and the ability to handled personalized audio streams.

The LA-5291 was the first 3rd party real time Dolby Digital Plus with Atmos encoder for broadcasting and streaming. It supports encoding Dolby Digital Plus with Atmos streams from either a PCM input or Dolby ED2. It also functions as a Dolby ED2 encoder and decoder for transmitting up to 16-channels of audio in a 4-channel package where conserving data rate is critical.

UPMAX ISC is both an algorithm and a product. UPMAX ISC is first upmix algorithm which can generate an immersive audio output (often known as Dolby Atmos) from a stereo, 3-channel, or 5.1-channel input signal, or 5.1-channel output signal from a stereo or 3-channel input signal.
The UPMAX ISC unit is optimized for low latency so that it can be used in live productions without impacting the synchronization between audio and video.

The AERO platform provides automatic loudness control, upmixing, downmixing, optional watermarking, and optional Dolby Digital Plus / Dolby Digital encoding.
The differences between the three units are in the number of audio programs which can be processed and whether the unit has a graphical front panel display and front panel controls or is "headless".

AERO.enterprise offers the same processing as the AERO hardware units, but as a software only package to be installed and run on a customer provided server.

The Dolby CAT1100 was a Dolby Digital and Dolby Digital Plus encoder, and a Dolby E decoder/transcoder. It was the first real-time Dolby Digital Plus encoder available in the market and enabled the very first Dolby Digital Plus broadcasts.

The Dolby CAT552 was a Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, and Dolby E decoder module, used in many professional broadcast decoders, transcoders, and test devices.

The Dolby CAT559 was a Dolby Digital or a Dolby E encoder.
